"Hi..new to this website"

Hey, I'm new to this website. I guess I'm just trying to meet other people with herpes...just for friends and support. It sucks finding out at such a young age....it makes me feel alone, and I've definetly have a whole in my heart because of it. Well, maybe I will start to feel better...I'm open to any conversation!

I am sorry that no one has answered you as of yet. I would like to welcome you to HHP. This place has been a Godsend for me. This is the place to learn about your virus and to ask any questions that you want to ask--there are not dumb questions here or the giving of too much information.

The most important thing that I can tell you is that it gets better with time. We have all felt the way that you are feeling now. There is no cure for this virus but it is manageable and this is the place to learn how.

You may want to post in the support section as it gets more traffic.

Welcome to the site. This is a great group of people. I figure I've had herpes since I was 20 and now I'm 56 and it has not had much impact on my life at all--except to be careful about potential partners and not be afraid to ask about their STD status etc. Hope some of the younger members will be in contact with you soon. So read the conferences, ask questions and I hope you start to feel better about yourself. Herpes can be a non-issue in your life, so don't let it control your life. Only you can give it that power.
