"The facts about Pregnancy and herpes?"

   Good morning everyone.

As I mature I can't help but think of my future and I've always known I wanted children in my future. But I was told I have herpes 7 months ago when I had my first OB, I have yet to have another since then which is why I assume I have Type 1. that being said, I wanted to ask if anyone had facts about having children and having herpes? Can you have a vaginal birth? How likely is it that your baby will get herpes? Can you breast feed? What should one be thinking about when you have herpes and considering having babies?

Thanks, Hopeful85

if you haven't followed up with testing to know if you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally, certainly worthwhile to do so.

have you read the pregnancy info in the free herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com yet? it's a good place to start

Plenty of good posts here in the forum too if you haven't had a chance to read through any of them. Many other women with the same concerns.

The first step in stopping the perceived stigma about genital herpes - is to stop believing in it yourself
