"Talk Timing -- New Relationship: tell before or after his trip?"

New relationship, dating about 3 weeks. Really enjoying our time together, nice chemistry between us. He's leaving for a short trip & wants to see me before he goes.

He's made it clear he wants more intimacy between us...but I've got to have the talk first...

What do y'all think? Tell before he leaves and let him think about it while he's gone? or wait until he's back when I can follow-up with him directly?

Feeling uncertain despite having many positive experiences talking about this.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

You really couldn't go wrong either way, if he likes you, it won't be a big deal at all.

A certain amount of anxiety around having "the talk" is normal. The only essential piece of timing is that it done before sex happens.

If you've had some positive experiences in the past when it comes to this you probably have sorted out mostly how to present the information to potential partners.

I think you may need to go with your gut on this one based on your reading of things. If he's worth it, extra time to think about it shouldn't make much of a difference. However, being able to have a follow up conversation to answer questions is always nice.

Good luck no matter what you decide.

Be well,
