"Recently diagnosed"

I'm 37 had several sex partners over the years and today my worst fears came true after visiting clinic last wk from rash now turned outbreak. Originally came I to contact with disease over 10 yrs ago with my son's mom who didn't tell me she had it until after I proposed to her 3yrs into relationship. My son is now 12 me and her haven't had any sexual contact in over 10 yrs. and due to amount of stress been under past few wks or last sex partner I had which used protection; except oral I don't know where it originated. So safe to say I'm mad, sad, and confused....

Given the scenario you laid out, it's entirely possible you got it from your son's mother back then, or one of your other partners. It just didn't show up until now. Stress is a very common trigger. Get some antivirals to treat your outbreak.

We're here to help. I'd suggest posting your comments and questions in our "support" section as it gets more attention than here. Let us know how we can help.
