"SCARY symptoms...anyone else?"

Dealing with my first outbreak. Trying to stay positive.
Have NOT found any mention of vaginal bleeding as a symptom so far in web research.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Bleeding has been going on for last 5 days of 7 day-long outbreak thus far. Bleeding coming from inside my lips...can't tell from what exactly.

My Dr. said sores were in my cervix (Pap smear showed that)...is that where the bleeding is coming from?

Bleeding is unusual even with a primary outbreak. Are you talking about a tiny bit of bleeding or like a period? Is it possible that it's just your period coming at a weird time? How were you diagnosed?

I was bleeding throughout the day each day. Not heavy, but I was changing a "light-days" type pad about 5 times a day for about 4 days and nights.

I don't think it would have been my period because I am on birth control and it is not due until this week (theoretically it would have come 2 weeks early.) Also, I have never had an irregular period.

The bleeding (and heavy discharge) has since stopped...I am on day 12 of the OB. I can pee without pain (sorry if TMI, I am seriously overjoyed) and hopefully all pain and sores will fade soon.

I was diagnosed when the Dr tested my pap smear and swabbed some of the sores.

Thanks for answering my posts. What do you think?

I actually had a bit of spotting with an OB once. I figured my body was still trying to adjust to the virus and my hormones were being weird. I'm on the pill, too. I don't get OBs anymore, so I don't know if it was a one-time thing or what, but it didn't seem to cause any other issues.
