"Still in pain"

   Hello Everyone,

It has been 16 months (GHSV1) and I still have constant pain in my legs, buttocks, and genitals. I have daily speratic urethra pain and periodic tailbone pain. I have a deep ache in the area between my testicles and butthole, which seems to make the rest of the region uncomfortable. I am now on Gabapentin (sp), Cymbalta, and Valtrex (1 gram a day). They also have me using lidoderm (sp) pathces. However, this can not be a long term solution. God how much longer will this last. I have having problems functioning in my day-to-day life. It is not only the pain, but what the pain represents. Does anyone how much longer this will last, and is it permanent? The pain is daily, but some days are better then others. It seems to me the urethra and ache has become more frequent, and the nerve pain down my legs and itching in my genitals have remained the same. I will say that I get days where my genital region does feel normal, but my legs never stop.

Help please....
Will this stop?
What else can I do?
Does anyone know anything about MMS?

Thanks to all! I really need some help!

   Hi Freeus03,
Remind me please, were you formally diagnosed with GHSV1? Constant pain as in it doesn't let up at night, or when you get your clothes off, or when you sit in a cool tub of water? I'm sorry you are in so much pain. It is unusual for GHSV1 to cause such distress for so long.

No one can give you definitive answers right now. More than likely yes it will abate at some point and should get better providing that it is herpes and not something else going on. Your body will get a better handle on the virus if that is what is causing your symptoms.

What is MMS?

   Dear freeus03,

I seem to have similar issues like you. I am male. Almost permanent pain down there since August 2011.
It is getting better a bit, but slowly.

How are you doing?

   Hey Sigi,

I would love to say that I am better, but that is not the case. This started for me in Sug/Sept of 2011 and I still have constant nerve pain in my groin and legs. I get on and off urethra pain and the doctors do not seem to have answers for me. At this point I take the nerve meds (nuerotin/Cymbalta) and just white knuckle it every day.

If things are getting better for you, what do you think is helping? What exactly are you experiencing?

And anyone else that wants to chim in you are welcome. I am still looking for some light at the end of the tunnel. I can't believe that the rest of my life is going to be like this...I am only 32.

   Dear Freus,

I am so sorry that I never answered to you back in April 2013.

I hope you are much better.
The good news for me is that the terrible pain in the testicles and the anus is not existing anymore or very slight only some days.

My big issue is that I get strong nerve pain on my buttocks when sitting. So I try to stand whenever possible.

I was taking B12 vitamins and Propolis pills. Seems these helped a bit the immune system.

Please let me know how you are doing.

best regards, Sigi
