   I possibly was exposed to HSV2 yesterday. When is the soonest I can do a blood test for recent exposure?

I would suggest getting a baseline test right away so you know your existing status. If you are newly infected, you might test positive as soon as two weeks, but to be sure that it's not a false negative you have to wait quite a bit longer because some folks take longer for the immune response to develop to detectable levels. 12 to 16 weeks.

Obviously, if you get active symptoms, get a type-specific culture done right away so you can confirm which type it is and that it's actually herpes simplex.
