"Birth Control"

I Have a question for anyone who really knows what they are talking about. because I am very worried about this. Well I am taking birth control and I am flying back to Chicago to see my boyfriend for thanksgiving...well the week I arrive I just happen to luckily get my period.. so I was curious if anyone knows if i can just skip the set of pills that i am supposed to take for the week of my period. if i do so i will not get my period? and also, will i have a good chance of getting pregnant? if anyone has had the same situation or any advice please please tell me!

The "green pills" are sugar pills, and when you are taking those you are getting no hormones. This causes your hormone levels to drop and voila- Auntie Flo. I don't even take those pills during my period week- they're just to remind you to keep taking them and to start your new pack.

I have skipped the green pills and gone straight to the next pack before to skip my period for a month. My friend's doctor prescribed her to do that because she wanted to do Seasonale to only get her period 4x a year, but her doctor didn't to mess around with the levels. You may still get some break through bleeding depending on how good a match your pills are for you. Some people also find that their next period is heavier, but I didn't.

I did this all the time too and it's so common now my dr. would simply call it in as a 21 day prescription instead of 28. The only thing they asked was that I got my period every three months or so.

I so loved that schedule now I soo miss it!!
