"Trying to quit smoking?"

Everyone knows that smoking can have detrimental effects. Most Americans already know the effects that smoking can have on your lungs, heart, mouth, throat (and wallet), and skin.

What many people don’t know is about a very successful program online to help them quit called the Become An EX program.

On behalf of Legacy and the Ad Council I want to bring to your attention this “Become An EX” Free Quit plan and community.
Become An EX is a FREE online Quit Plan and social media-based smoking cessation program that provides powerful tools to assist smokers who want to stop. These evidence-based tools help smokers quit, they include information that can help you prepare and a community to connect with – the more support you have the better your chances are for success.

EX focuses on how to handle your individual smoking triggers - like coffee, alcohol or stress -without smoking.
And there are more than 200,000 people in the Become An EX community!
You can find out more about The EX Plan here:

Macsmith, I'm not sure if you realize it, but this is just the general medical forum for a Herpes Support and Information message board. Quitting smoking is not our area of expertise and I don't know that you'll get many responses here at all. I'm sure there must be more relevent places online you could go for help. Possibly Medhelp has a group or message board for smoking cessation.

Otherwise, talk to your physician. There are many alternatives now including medications such as Zyban and Chantix. Also, there is nicotine gum, patches and those fake cigarettes. You will also want to use behavioral modification to keep your hands and/or mouth busy with other activities and stay away from situations and people who entice you to smoke.

Good luck. Smoking is terrible and causes many health problems. Quitting is the smartest thing to do.

C.

Hi,
I am happy that you are fed up with smoking, this is very important that our inner system should avoid such a harmful things. There are various medication available to avoid smoking, but the best I can suggest you is the "Yoga". It gives good result, you can join various clubs for the same. Have passions, control your anxiety and have regular yoga, result will be out soon.
All the best.
