"Combining antivirals"

I am curious to know if anyone has been treated with a combination of antivirals such as Famvir with Valtrex or Famvir with acyclovir?
I am having constant symptoms even on higher dose acyclovir (1600mg daily) and am curious what others may have found to be helpful in this scenario.
I have GHSV and OSVH.
While my symtoms never progress to full blown blisters (and oddly respond to topical zovirax ointment)I have recently developed a nasal lesion in addition to lip/genital symptoms and have almost constant canker sores. Symptoms last sometimes only hours but seem to cycle from one area to the other.
I am otherwise healthy..no immune issues per an infection control physician.
I am hypothyroid and on cytomel for that.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I have also posted in the Support section.

Kristen

increasing the total dose. The reason is that the action of all of them is basically the same. The difference is the method of delivery at the cellular level. I think it's a good idea to try different antivirals and might suggest trying famvir next. It worked better for me than acyclovir, but your mileage may vary.

   Thanks Rajah
I have had this problem for over 20 years with minimal symptoms but this past year everything (symptoms, frequency)is different.
I wasnt even on suppressive therapy again until last summer (2009) and had never had a problem with acyclovir 400mg twcie a day..

Do you want to get rid of this for good, no supression but gone with a negative PCR test? advertising URL Removed
I'm on the protocol myself, so far so good, no outbreaks. Waiting to get my test soon. I'm tired of the bullshit on this site. No offense to the creator, you're doing a good thing for humanity, but all these remedies have to be combined in a certain way. Nothing works if you're feeding the virus with certain things anyway. There is finally a cure. It's real! Unless these people are lying or making up fake test results. I don't agree with their meckack monkey thing, or that they're saying that this virus is in a parasite or something because I've studied how herpes works. All I know, is that they just cured 14 people in december.
