"Filtering email"

   Aloha everyone:

I have come to a point where I seriously need to filter my email accounts. I've tried to label messages and have found that a lot of messages end up with that label that should not have that label. Google, obviously, attempted similar by creating "important" versus "unimportant" I assume based on some type of algorithm (e.g., you initiated, there was an exchange, not sure although it says important because you are involved).

What are you guys doing? Have you found anything that works?

Thanks!

J

I've got labels set up for some subjects and have created filters to automatically label incoming mail from various sources. I'm used to it so it seems to flow relatively well.
