"the herpes handbook"

LAST EDITED ON Sep-11-14 AT 07:44 PM (CST) by Rajah (admin)

http://www.westoverheights.com/herpes/the-updated-herpes-handbook/

this is a free online resource for you and your partner if you haven't read it already. Terri Warren keeps it up to date with the latest information. it has all the basic info on genital herpes you need.

If you don't mind paying money, she also wrote a book this year "the good news about the bad news". It really goes into the psychological side of having herpes more than the free handbook does.

There is also a free patient counseling video on her site too if your provider didn't already give you the valtrex herpes packet with the dvd in it - http://www.westoverheights.com/herpes/living-with-herpes-video/

These are listed in our other folder - http://racoon.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=list&forum=DCForumID23&conf=Main plus more info if you didn't check it out when you found us

The first step in stopping the perceived stigma about genital herpes - is to stop believing in it yourself

I think it is wonderful that you posted the information in this way. Is there some way to get it to always post at the top just like the 'Reminder that advertising is not allowed'? This will help the newcomer find the important information more easily.

I was taking acyclovir for a long time. I guess it never actually cures herpes. I did get headaches though and then...this was really frightening...a seizure. That was the end of this drug for me.
I found a curandera who gave me herbs. I don't have any breakouts anymore and my skin, which was blotchy has cleared up! Maybe this won't work for everyone, and I had to drink the tea for two months. but it wasn't expensive and didn't have side effects. Drugs are not always the answer. I think she has a website, curandera healing or something. Sorry I don't have more info.

I just read the whole handbook, and thank you!! i feel like this is a great resource!! However, I am still trying to figure out what to tell the guy I think gave this too me what test he needs to have done. Maybe I am just overwhelmed and scared.. but its hard to figure out.
