"Is it Herpes? Waiting..."|
I was tested for ALL STD's this past summer. I was clean. I recently had unprotected sex 3 times the past 3 weeks with someone that said he was clean as well. I have a history of yeast infections (after my hysterectomy I was getting them almost very time I had sex and my doctor had me on boric acid capsules prevent them but I quit using them as I was not sexually active for a while) and recently had a hysterectomy, so have thinning skin and am on hormones (estrogen and progesterone). The last time we had sex (Wednesday) we had an intense night and I was uncomfortable (pain) towards the end. The next day it burned to pee, but I did not feel like I had a UTI, I was just waiting to get a yeast infection. I felt raw and the urine burned really badly. The next day I went to urgent care because by doctor was out of town. The doctor I saw said I did not have any blisters (I had already looked and I did not), but that he thought I should test for Herpes anyway. I asked him to be 100% honest with me about what he thought and he said 30% Herpes. I do not have a fever, do not feel like I have the flu, there are no blisters, no itching...I am only swollen and feel raw and it burns to pee (but doesn't feel like a UTI...they did test my urine and said there was very very little bacteria). |
I am wondering if this could be a yeast infection that doesn't itch, or major irritation from too much intercourse or if I do in fact have Herpes. I have told my partner and he stands firm that he just got his results and he is clean, but I cannot be certain.
