"IGG results for HSV2"|
I recently had burning urination for two days. So I went to doctor to diagnose myself. The Doctor did urine test but it came out negative. I have always done protected sex using condoms ( I know from discussion here that HSV can still be transmitted). Anyway, the Doctor asked if I want to do STD blood test, I said yes. The test results: HSV-1 came back negative (index=0.79), but HSV-2 came back positive (index=2.42), HIV came back negative, chlymadia came back negative. I have no symptoms of burning after the first few days. I am asymptomatic. Is it wise to do confirmatory Western Blot test by seeing a urologist? I am pretty disturbed right now. I have had multiple partners.
Its been 3 weeks since the blood report was drawn. I still see no visible symptoms.NO sores, no lesions, no painful urination, no tingling sensation in groin, no rash, no back ache. I am lost for symptoms. I started taking 1gm valacylovir HCL around a 6 days ago.
Any help is appreciated.
If I need to do Western Blot test, does it need to be sent by overnight mail or next day air?
