"IgM?"
 
   What exactly is IgM? I keep reading all these posts saying IgM is inaccurate, but if a test shows IgM, what exactly does that mean? You have antibodies for something?

that it's not very selective and can respond to other related herpes viruses like chickenpox, CMV, etc. That's why it's not worthwhile in adults since the majority of adults have had one or more of those.
